Richard Lang calls himself a “professional patient.” Starting when he was 12 years old, he has had over 35 surgeries or invasive procedures and spent, in the aggregate, over 60 days in at least 6 hospitals and countless partial days in outpatient surgery settings. He retired as an attorney after 43 years of practice, a substantial part of which was devoted to the business/legal needs of healthcare providers. He wrote Patient Confidential, Tips And Advice To Keep You Safe As You Navigate the Healthcare System, to share his experiences as a patient. The book will help others get the most out of the healthcare system and stay safe. His book, contains advice about dozens of healthcare situations.
