Peter Barber is a well-seasoned traveller. The vast majority of Peter's trips have taken place since he retired in his mid 50s in 2007. He’s travelled extensively throughout Africa and Europe, not only for pleasure but also following his passion for volunteer work in wildlife conservation in Kenya and Namibia. Through his involvement in conservation, he developed a second career as a wildlife photographer; his photos can now be seen in calendars and books. Blending travel for pleasure with volunteering later in life gives Peter a unique understanding and appreciation of the roadblocks facing the mature traveller. Peter's book is called - Get Up and Get Going - A Practical Guide to the Mature Would-Be Traveller.
