Peggy Wireman
Dr. Peggy Wireman has extensive experience in social policy analysis. She worked as a legislative aide in Congress and as a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in both Democratic and Republican administrations.
She managed an $8 million economic development grants program for the U.S. Department of Commerce and the $5 million Wisconsin Small Business Development Center. She taught in a graduate program in community development and at a technical college.
Dr. Wireman has been a grassroots community organizer, a Congressional Fellow, and a newspaper reporter, including covering the Maryland State Legislature. She also has been active in local political campaigns
In addition to writing books, Dr. Wireman consults on community and economic development. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology and certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners.
She has lectured and consulted in 10 countries. She has given numerous radio/television interviews and hosted her own radio show.
