It’s bridal market week in New York.
There’s a flurry of activity among designers to present their Spring 2014 collection to buyers and the press.
Held for the second year at the Hilton Hotel on 6th Avenue, New York Bridal Couture Fashion is the result of a partnership between The Knot and the Wedding Channel. It’s a showcase of a variety of designers under one roof.
Watters, a company based out of Texas has long been a favorite of mine. Their collections pay detailed attention to and honor the female form. They offer brides simple silhouettes, luxurious fabrics.
From softly pleated organzana to luscious layers of lace to evoke eternal romance. They turn A-line (the all purpose silhouette) up a notch with pleated tulle ruffles. The fit and flare gowns showcased exquisite bead work.
Tuscany’s lush hills, open spaces, architecture and overall ethereal qualities are see in their designs. I was particularly pleased to see the styles offered as a part of their Wtoo Curves Collection, which will be a feature on their website Wtoo.com. A showcase of current and signature styles, the gowns are proportioned up to a size 32W for the three C’s curves, comfort, and compliments.
Though Watters has been around for a while, Wtoo was introduced in 1999 as a contemporary, affordable collection. If you’re interested in taking a look visit their site and find an authorized salon near you.
