When we don’t look forward to something, when we simply don’t enjoy it, we are not living in the present moment.
It’s like life is rushing past us and we feel we are simply waiting for something more interesting to come along. When we get caught up in this waiting game, we aren’t living our lives, are we? Each day is so precious and we should look forward instead of dredging up our past or future problems we feel are on the horizon.
Look for the smallest of the silver linings during your day and this will help you appreciate the things you have.
Maybe, you have never really looked for them, but they are out there, small as some may be. Once you start looking forward to things, you will have more reasons to be excited for everything that comes your way.
I try very hard to look at things in a positive light. Each day I try to focus on all the great opportunities just waiting for me to notice them.
Here are a few tips I use on myself:
- Focus on keeping positive feelings and you’ll be a lot stronger when the negative things come your way.
- Think about all the wonderful things you have in your life, that you are truly grateful for.
- Don’t let past problems from your life weigh you down, learn to constructively deal with them and then let go and move forward.
Just look forward with excitement and take your steps to a bright and happy tomorrow!
